01 / The invitation
Your court. Your sunshine.
A welcoming tennis social for first serves, good company and a little courtside SPF.
48 GUESTS · TWO COURTS · ONE GOOD MORNING
Independent speculative concept. Not commissioned by or affiliated with Supergoop!
02 / The intention
48 invited adults: 24 playing guests and 24 social guests. Curious beginners, casual players and friends who would rather stay courtside. No tennis experience required; playing is always optional.
Introduce sunscreen in a setting built around being outdoors together: an easy arrival ritual, accessible sampling and a comfortable place to pause. The invitation is to participate, not perform.
03 / The guest experience
From the RSVP to the final thank-you, guests choose how they join in.
Choose player or social guest. Share experience, access needs and dietary requirements privately; opt into photography separately.
A host checks you in, hands over your player or social card and introduces the shaded sampling station.
A short orientation explains the route, court etiquette, breaks and group assignments. Hosts demonstrate the basics.
Rotate through a clinic and casual doubles, or enjoy the lounge, player-card personalization and portraits.
Gather for lighthearted awards, collect your belongings and receive an optional feedback link.
Player capacity is capped at 24. Social places do not convert to on-court places without a host-confirmed vacancy and briefing. Guests may leave play at any time.
04 / The site
Two courts with separate clear run-off. All event furniture, sampling and spectators stay beyond the playing envelopes.

A proposed planning approach: establish the venue constraints, assign ownership and rehearse the guest experience before opening.
Select two adjacent, correctly marked courts with clear run-off, a level accessible route, accessible toilets, potable water, power, shaded seating for 48 and an indoor refuge for all 63 attendees and staff. Confirm capacity, insurance, emergency access and load-in in a site walk.
Butter yellow is the visual target. Prefer an existing approved finish; if unavailable, retain the venue surface. No temporary paint, decals or loose floor coverings on playing areas. The venue and fabricator approve every off-court installation, ballast and parasol before opening.
T−21 days: invite with player/social RSVP. T−7: confirm 24 player places, group letters and waitlist. T−2: send arrival map, transport, footwear, sun-care reminders and weather status. Provide a named access contact. T+1: optional feedback and consent-based photo delivery.
Keep a proposed 2m continuous route and clear court gates, with step-free check-in, a lowered sample surface and seated portrait framing. Ask about adaptations before assigning groups. Card-making, hospitality and awards are available to every guest; no one has to play.
Crew and vendors deliver scenic, rentals and stock. Protect existing court surfaces.
Venue, first-aid and production leads clear routes, shade, chair ballast, nets and radios.
Assign stations, access requests, photo consent, contingencies and group timing.
Three-hour program; hosts log counts and flag issues to the event lead.
Account for guests, secure samples and separate strike activity from departures.
Remove installations, sort waste and complete a joint venue condition check.
Run of show, decisions, venue liaison and guest communications.
Registration, access requests, then lounge support and departure.
One per court: groups, gates, timing and transitions.
Beginner clinic, orientation demonstration and adaptations.
Shade-based sampling, pack directions and stock tracking.
Refreshments, water, dietary labeling and shade seating.
Ground-level portraits and consent-based editorial coverage.
Load-in, setup, inspection, portrait queue, resets and strike.
Heat-plan advice, first aid and emergency liaison.
Staffing allowances include preparation or closeout as applicable; production crew covers the 05:30–13:30 venue window. Event lead and first-aid lead remain reachable by radio. Paid hours are itemized in the budget.
Venue. Courts, fixed shade, toilets, access, refuge and emergency procedures.
Scenic fabricator. Oversized chair, anti-climb panel, ballast, engineering and removal.
Rental partner. Parasols, tables, seating and accessible service furniture.
Tennis partner. Qualified instructor, rackets, low-compression balls and court hosts.
Sampling supplier. Authorized stock, traceability, hygienic distribution and current labeling.
Catering / photo / print. Dietary-safe refreshments, consent-aware coverage and event collateral.
The event lead reviews official local forecasts with the venue manager and first-aid lead. Confirm the indoor fallback, vendor cutoffs and the guest communication deadline.
The venue manager clears dry, safe courts; the production lead checks installation and parasol limits. The first-aid lead sets the site-specific heat plan. No opening without their sign-off.
Any host can pause play for distress or unsafe conditions. Lightning/thunder, wet or slippery courts, excessive heat under the agreed plan, or wind beyond supplier limits stop outdoor programming. The event lead directs guests to indoor refuge, accounts for groups and communicates changes.
Resume only after venue and first-aid clearance. If safe play cannot return, switch to indoor hospitality, portraits and card-making. If the refuge or conditions are unsuitable, the event lead postpones or ends the event and arranges safe departure.
Exact heat, lightning and wind thresholds must be documented by the venue, first-aid lead and equipment suppliers before invitations are confirmed. No threshold or safe operating limit is invented here.
